LIVE: 24 Hour EXR Race Training #1.
Harumi is watching — get in, learn fast, and get out…
We’ve opened up the EXR training for 24 hours — we don’t have much time… Harumi Corp is hot on our tails — tracking closely. They know we are coming. That means you’ll need to get in, train up fast, and get out before it’s too late.
This is an intentionally rapid training focused on the low touch experiences and the learnings — and while you may collect certain rewards for your efforts, those are just bonus rewards in training (so don’t get too attached)
Note: this is a bonus game to the EXR art, and you need a Training Pass to race. We expect some speed bumps — but again, it’s about the low touch experiences, learning and of course — racing. Also, assume nothing is permanent game wise — as we learn together. Be patient, enjoy the bonus game.
The lowdown: Race types & training rewards.
Quick reminder: the EXR bonus game is a strategic algorithmic racing manager whereby: your Pilot, Racecraft + Booster attributes, the race track, the type or race you select and your competitors all influence the outcome of the races…Ok now, back to it — race types, & training rewards.
1. Training Races (Race against the Trainer)
- Race against an EXR Race Trainer up to 3 times to collect RPM (Rare Processed Metals) and XP (Experience Points) while testing your skills. Ways to earn:
- Beat your race trainer and collect 50 RPM.
- If you lose, you still earn 25 RPM. 50 XP awarded each time you race.
- You must finish your 3 races here to unlock race battles.
2. Invite Race Battles (Race against players you invite)
- Time is limited so use it wisely — race against other EXR Racers once completing your Daily Race Training.
- Invite Races allow you to collect larger amounts of RPM but require a 25 RPM entry fee.
- Win the race and keep the entire pot. 50 XP awarded each time you race.
- Friends impounded by Harumi? Dont be sadge — join our hourly open race battles where you’ll be placed in races against other racers.
3. Open Invite Races (Race against random players that join)
- With your limited invites — you can also choose to join an Open Invite Race — which runs every hour on the top of the hour.
- This race type allows for anyone to hop into a race — great for if your friends aren’t around or you feel like a new challenge.
- Once the hourly Open Invite Race entry window closes, you’ll have 15 minutes to make your predictions. DONT miss that blz.
- NOTE: there are both Standard AND Reverse races through out the 24 Hours be sure to note what type of race it is.
Important: You have 5 non Training Races for the 24 hour period — which you can use on either “Invite Race Battles” or “Open Races” or both.
RPM (Rare Processed Metal) is the most valuable commodity in the galaxy. Mined by the evil megacorps, the Exiled rebels have been liberating RPM through stealth raids on enemy territory. RPM is won through racing and can be used to enter new races, unlock tracks and collect rewards.
Inviting racers, predicting outcomes & race notifications…
Inviting Racers
To invite other racers is simple — once you’ve set up and entered your race, just click “Invite Racer” and search for a friend, choose their handle from the type-ahead and press “Send Invite” — Once you’ve invited a racer, they will be notified in discord, and if they are online in the Racing app — they will see a toast notification.
Making predictions
Once all racers have entered, make a prediction on who you think will win. We will give you each racers expected chance to win (we run that racer over 1000x before the race to give you these odds) — there’s bonus XP for picking the underdogs.
PRO TIP — Make sure you give other Racers time to make predictions before closing the prediction window and simulating the race (otherwise they will miss out). Ping your friends privately or ping the discord, before closing the predictions and leaving others behind.
Race Notifications
We have built in a notification system so all racers will get a “toast” notification in the game when they are: invited; when predictions are made; and when races are ready to watch. As mentioned, Racers will also be notified via discord in the #race-invites channel — so set discord up properly.
EXR Leaderboard Tracking (ALPHA)
EXR Factions — we need the best Pilots and the best Prophets to take on Harumi. We will track this via the alpha EXR leaderboard which will track top racers by RPM and XP. We will also introduce rankings for top performers. Remember this is just a bonus — you’re helping to battle test a first of its kind web3 racing experience — enjoy the ride.
Training Rewards:
Your RPM and XP may or may not be your tickets to win rewards in training TBD. The more RPM and XP you collect by the end of training — the higher likelihood you have to win rewards (intentionally vague.)
Starblazer Badge:
The racers with the most RPM collected at the close of the 24 EXR Training phase will earn the Starblazer badge for bragging rights and [redacted]
Leaderboard Tiers:
Where you finish on the leaderboard may or may not determine which [REDACTED] you are placed in once the EXR Training Phase is over and [REDACTED] starts.
Prophet Rewards — When you have lived with prophecy for so long, the moment of revelation is a shock. The Prophet status is one to be admired. Collect XP for correctly predicting races which may or may not give you a higher chance to get Prophet rewards (also big TBD). Top Prophets help protect the factions and will earn badges and bragging rights.
Performance Tips from EXR HQ;
- Select race type, your racing stack and a race track that best suits your stack attributes. (Read More: Pilot Attributes, Racecraft Attributes )
- Unlock specific tracks for a fee that suit your style
- For example, if your stack is “fast” pick “Standard Race” type and select tracks that have plenty of straights.
- Look out for Track boosts (“home” system) and Genetic boosts (same faction stacks)
- If you get invited to race, look out for the same as above…
- Make riskier predictions? High risk high reward predictions available.
- When you watch the races, look out for a red Racecraft tail flare and an emoji next to your avatar — this means your pilots are making “conscious” decisions. 🔥🔥
- Legendary & Exiled Racecrafts & Pilots may have rare tail flares and tbd but there may be bonus rewards available to all when they race?
What’s comes next — after this 24 hour bonus game training? We run the data, check performance, track for any major feedback — then we head back to the bonus game salt mines. Following on from there (in the next couple of weeks or so) — we plan to open up another training with a few additional releases we are hard at work on… We plan to stay true to our low touch game ideologies — to make it fun and easy for busy, casual community members.
